Clients prefer a per-project estimate for editing services
Understandably, people like to get a sense of a project’s cost before they contract editing services. Many editors charge an hourly rate. I’ve learned most of my clients prefer a per-word rate. I like that system too. Pages in a document can greatly vary, but a word count is a word count.

However, each editing job is different. It’s more expedient for both of us if I review your document and understand your needs before I return a FREE sample edit and an estimate to you.

Conditions affecting the per-word rate Editing charges range from .02 to .50 per word, depending on the conditions above. It’s critical that I make an initial assessment of your document before providing an estimate. I can do this even on rush jobs. Let me view your project and assess your needs; simply submit your document for a FREE sample edit and an estimate.

NB: Rewrites and original writing are quoted on a per-project basis.
Amounts expressed in Canadian funds. A minimum charge of $20.00 applies.
